Margaret's room
About the room
The apartment is a garden apartment in central Beacon Hill.
You’d be subleasing from 7/1-9/1 and then joining the year-long lease from 9/1/26-9/1/27.
The Apartment: First-floor garden apartment located down a little pedestrian alley in Beacon Hill. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the top floor and the kitchen/living area is downstairs. The apartment is in a very old building so it’s a little worse for wear but the landlord is pretty receptive to fixing issues when they arise.
There is in-unit laundry, a dishwasher, and direct access to a communal backyard. We’re near a ton of restaurants, Whole Foods, and almost all of the train lines are less than 10 minutes away.
Your rent would be $1925 (I’m paying $100 more/month because my room is slightly larger) and we are responsible for WiFi, electric, and gas (heat (radiators in bedrooms) and hot water are included). Most months utilities average around $60-65 (but if you get a window AC unit, you’ll likely be paying around $90/month in the summer; I have not found AC necessary in my room or in the lower level).
About the roomies
What I’m Looking for in a Roommate: I am entering my final year of law school and am super busy most of the time but I prefer my home environment to be calm, clean, and, most importantly, predictable. Grad school students/young professionals preferred! I’m looking for a fellow neat freak who is not going to host super often and doesn’t mind cats (I have a very friendly black cat). I’m looking for someone who doesn’t have a lot of stuff as I have fully furnished the kitchen and living room (and there isn’t a lot of space for more furniture/appliances). I usually have an empty social battery when I get home from class/court so while I am of course looking for a friendly relationship, I am not necessarily looking to be close friends/hang out at home.
Please reach out if this price and description are what you’re looking for; we can arrange a time to chat and see if we’ll be compatible roommates. I’ll also forward financial requirements from the landlord to any prospective roommates. Thanks!
