About the room
Make yourself at home in this Albuquerque classic. Solid oak floors, granite window sills and counters, plaster walls, vigas, latillas, and corbels provide traditional styling complemented by a superb suite of modern amenities, a chef’s kitchen, a walk-in pantry, and spacious laundry room. The attached casita has a private entrance, bathroom and walk-in closet. The covered front and back patios provide a cool, relaxing space to appreciate the landscaping in the summer. Feel free to use the work shed for your craft projects or the sauna to relax in the winter. There’s a dog shower in the utility room and securely fenced backyard if you have pets. The quiet neighborhood has excellent access to Altura Park, the North Channel Bike Trail, Sports & Wellness, Stone Age Climbing Gym, Whole Foods, Smith’s, and many other wonderful places for you to discover. There is plenty of on-street parking space in front of the home. Nob Hill, UNM and the hospital a casual 15-minute bike ride away. The two bedrooms in the main part of the house are occupied by me, an engineer, and Steve, an architect. We are both friendly, respectful, and value an inclusive living environment. The house is around 2300 square feet, so there’s plenty of space. I’m currently in the process of setting up the front room as a media room / guest bedroom which you are welcome to use for out-of-town visitors. The current tenant, Sarah, recently purchased a home for herself and her chihuahua Artoo, so she is available as a reference if you would like to know more.
About the roomies
I’m an Albuquerque native who recently returned home after 15 years living abroad in Switzerland. I am 37 years old and am fond of living in shared flats where everyone has their own personal space as well as the freedom to enjoy each other’s company. I am an organized, friendly person who values treating others respectfully. I work as an engineer and spend my free time biking around town, climbing and hiking in the mountains, and reading books to relax or learn. I am currently in the process of furnishing the house and there is no fixed-term lease; just please give me one month’s notice when you intend to seek other accommodation.
