The house is informal, eclectic, community-oriented, intended to be a calm and creative refuge. There’s lots of natural light, and friends living on three sides. You will never think you’ve walked into a bland hotel, and will always be able to find something to read. There are two open rooms; the one you don’t choose will be our guest room. One room shares a bathroom with me, the other is on the ground floor and opens on to the bathroom that visitors use – so it all depends what you’re most comfortable with. There are chickens in the backyard, solar on the roof, a porch good for porchsitting, and the garden looks pretty good in the spring! Hoping for someone interested in sharing at least some meals and sociability. Shorter or longer term considered. A bed available if you need one.

I’ve owned the house for over 20 years and rooms have always been filled by word of mouth. But my friends are all currently housed! 50/NB

• I work with plants, i play with plants, nerd out about plants, their ecology, and their cultural associations including beauty.
• I like to cook and have been vegetarian for almost all of my life. I’ve learned i prefer to have a roommate who will share meals sometimes and doesn’t just shut themselves in their room.
• I knit and indulge in other craft/or art adjacent things.
• I have a massage license but am not currently practicing.
• I host a monthly mending day and other events, including occasional neighborhood potlucks.
• I prefer to see movies on the big screen. I don’t have a tv. Someone who spends most of their home time looking at a screen, either gaming or watching videos, is probably not a good fit.
• I don’t drive; i do walk a lot!
• I do have a lot of books and a moderate game library, which i like to share. I have two book groups going right now (Melville and le Guin) and one game group that has lasted for over ten years.
• My only social media are Ravelry, iNaturalist, and izzzzi.
