About the room
The apartment is a third floor walkup and is split between two floors, with my bedroom and bathroom on the top floor. You will have your own room and closet space, as well as your own bathroom on the same floor, though this bathroom will likely be the default bathroom used when myself or guests are in the common area. There is a door to the fire escape, which I enjoy opening when the weather is nice. There is also a backyard that we share with the neighboring building, with a grill available for use and a garden that I tend to and enjoy sharing harvests with neighbors. Overall, the neighbors and neighborhood are very friendly and welcoming. The apartment is less than a 5 minute walk away from the 18 and 9 buses, the 18th st. Pink line station, and a Divvy bike station. Less than a 10 minute walk to Harrison Park. In the morning you can often smell the Panaderia right behind the building.βΊοΈ
Room will be cleared of any remaining objects and can be painted white upon arrival if preferred. more photos of common space to come shortly!
About the roomies
Hey there! Iβm Claire :) I enjoy going for walks, gardening, making art (sewing, painting, DIY, etc.), reading, cooking, and overall exploring outside. Iβm queer, neurospicy, and pretty involved in community organizing. Iβm considerate of those around me and maintain open and honest communication. I have two silly and friendly cats, who I take outside and let roam the hallways (the neighbors know them). I enjoy hosting friends and loved ones, but not super frequently. Happy to communicate company beforehand if preferred.
I am looking for my roommate to be generally clean and respectful of the shared spaces, direct and kind in communicating, and understanding of typical cat behavior (Iβm sorry as much as I can try they will still go on counters when weβre not home lol). A bonus would be to be friendly enough with one another and occasionally share in meals or movies, though not a deal breaker if youβre looking to keep your own space.
