About the room

This is a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, bright, with large common space area of living-room and kitchen. Much privacy is provided by the rooms being in opposite ends of the apartment (yours is facing the front with view of the street).

The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a three-story walk up with a wonderful view outside of private homes. We are located in a safe neighborhood, within walking distance to Queens Center Mall, Elmhurst Hospital, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, a laundromat (3 blocks) and 6 blocks to the subway M and R train (Woodhaven Blvd Station). It takes within 30 minutes to commute to Mid-town Manhattan.

The apartment has been recently renovated and we have a landlord who attends to problems speedily. In addition, this is the cleanest apartment I have ever lived in. There are no roaches and I’d like to room with someone that appreciates and is able to maintain this.

Aside to the second bathroom which will be yours, the room available for rent is medium in size, with hardwood floors, view to the front of the apartment and a balcony. Listed as unfurnished, but pieces of furniture are available, like a bed, desk with seat, and nightstand if needed.

About the roomies

I am quiet, clean and respectful, friendly, but non-interfering and like to give others their privacy and space and in the same way wish for the same in return. I am an educator/assistant director. Having moved here for more than six years, love this apartment, looking to find someone reliable/responsible to rent the available room, with a steady source of income, clean, quiet and respectful, with guests no more than once or twice a week while notifying the other as home is to be a sanctuary, a place to recharge. Overall, I want a roommate who can communicate or reason about common issues in honesty and consideration. Also, perhaps being impersonal is better for a rooming situation, but I would not be opposed to making a friend out of this. I do like to have my privacy in my room, but we can also get together to do something that we have in common. If you feel this resonates with you, send a message my way that we may exchange a few words. Looking forward to hearing from you!
