We are a husband-and-wife team who also live on the property, which is located in a quiet, safe, well-maintained, and cheerful neighborhood in the heart of the Tacoma Central District, nestled between the town of Fircrest and the Proctor District. The 2nd-floor room shares the same entrance as the main residence; other than that, it is an ultra-private and quiet unit. Utilities are included in the rent. Since accidents happen, a refundable $200.00 Damage Deposit is required, and there is an $800 monthly surcharge for an additional person. And because of the limited amount of parking space, for your safety and convenience, reserved parking in front of the home can be made available for an additional $50 a week. The upstairs area is fully furnished and includes a full-size bed, desk, dressers, armoire, and ample closet and storage space. The dwelling is equipped with ample lighting in both upstairs living areas and outside the home. The room also features a mini-fridge, satellite Smart TV, and dedicated HVAC heating and air conditioning. (Utilities included) You will have a semi-private bathroom with a shower located right at the bottom of the stairs. (Which you would be sharing with a 25 year old female student teacher) We also have an additional bathroom with a tub and shower which can be used at your convenience as well. House Rules: To maintain our living standards, we are a strictly smoke-free and pet-free household. Due to the shared nature of the bathroom facilities, we are currently only accepting applications from female tenants. You are welcome to use the laundry room and kitchen to store food and prepare meals. We’d also love for you to join us for dinner or help yourself to leftovers. Also, feel free to relax in the downstairs common areas. We are located in the Tacoma Central area. We are 1.5 miles from Highway 16 and 2 miles from the I-5 Freeway. Bus stops are everywhere, and almost everything else, Banks, Grocery Stores, Shops, Restaurants, Nature Center, and Rainiers’ Ballpark, are within walking distance from our home. To keep our home comfortable for everyone, we require a background check and maintain a strictly non-smoking, no vaping, no chewing tobacco, no marijuana, no mushrooms, and no pets of any kind on the premises. My husband is retired, so if you need anything or have any issues with the Wi-Fi, etc., he is as close as a phone call away

For starters, we would like to think that we are a very cheerful and sociable couple. We have been married for 47 years and have raised 2 sons. We have pretty much simplified our way of life; thus, we do not celebrate birthdays, or holidays, or involve ourselves in politics, yet we live a full and exciting life. We love going on trips and vacations, are always up for new adventures, and love sharing our experiences with others. We also have a very positive disposition about everyone and everything. We love all people regardless of their customs or heritage. We like having fun, making people laugh and enjoy themselves, and love cooking, singing, dancing, karaoke, going to the movies, and watching TV.
