About the room

Whimsical home surrounded by nature near downtown Milwaukie (10 minutes from downtown Portland), available April 1st.

$1025/month + utilities $1125 security deposit Looking to start with a 6 month lease (open to a year or longer if it feels aligned)

About the room Southeast facing with two windows—lots of natural light and really beautiful sunrises. Closet in room. Fits a queen bed comfortably. Shared bathroom.

About the home Last house on a dead-end street, so it’s very quiet. 8 minute walk to the Orange MAX line. Lots of parking + shared driveway. Large outdoor space, and a regenerative farm-style garden with lots of flowers and produce in the summer. 5 minute walk to Elk Rock Island. 5 minute drive to several grocery stores. 10 minute walk to downtown Milwaukie/farmers market/several restaurants, bars, and food carts.

Washer/dryer and storage space in the basement. I also have an art studio down there. Mini split heaters. Common spaces are furnished and the kitchen is stocked with most things.

2 bed / 1 bath house with hardwood and laminate floors throughout.

You’d be living with one roommate (me) and one very sweet 9-year-old cat. Open to another cat.

The overall vibe is quiet, cozy, and creative.

I’ve lived here for over 2 years, and the landlord is a real person—he’s helpful and great to work with.

About you Ideally: -You have minimal things in shared spaces -You pick up after yourself -You’re intentional, considerate, and communicative -You can navigate conflict or differences in a healthy way if they come up -You’re creative (artists/creatives preferred) -You either want a friendly, communal vibe or just aren’t home much. I don’t want the house to feel awkward—I want it to feel like a home. -It would be really nice to live with someone who enjoys cooking or doing projects together sometimes, but also values alone time.

House values / general expectations Non-violent communication Compassion, self-awareness, and consideration Respect for boundaries and consent Awareness of sensory needs/sensitivities

Guests are welcome, I just like some communication ahead of time.

Pets Pets negotiable, ideally one additional cat. No dogs, sorry. ⸻

If you feel like this could be a good fit, please reach out and share a bit about yourself! We can talk more and set up a time for you to come see the space.

About the roomies

One roommate, Jordyn. 27, artist and Waldorf art teacher. I spend a lot of time in the garden, working on projects, making art, or going on adventures with friends.

I’m often out during the day throughout the week, but I like to spend most of my free time at home. I’m quiet and respectful, but usually up later at night.

Socially, I’ll have a friend over for tea once in a while, and occasionally an overnight guest. I’d love to host more intentional gatherings someday.
