About the room
One of my roommates is moving out of state this spring, and my roommate and I are looking to fill her spot on a 12-month lease for a sprawling, two-story house in the heart of Fountain Square. The lease starts May 1st, 2026.
We are both 25, young professionals who work in the city. We keep the house clean, organized, and cute. We’re looking for a roommate who is kind, easy-going, and down to help us maintain the house. It’s a great little spot in Fountain Square, and I’ve loved living here since moving to Indy — hoping to find someone as excited about it as we are. Sadly, we cannot take any more pets as I have two cats already.
House Details:
- 5 Beds | 2 Bathrooms: In addition to three bedrooms, we also have two extra rooms currently functioning as an office/workout room and a fully-furnished guest room. You will be sharing a bathroom with me. We’re flexible on which bedroom you choose: There is an extra bedroom upstairs and two downstairs.
- Appliances, appliances: We have in-unit washing machine/dryer units and a dishwasher. Central heat and A/C. Plus the usuals.
- This house is big and very furnished (except for your room). We have a foyer, dining room, living room, lots of closets, and an unfinished basement for storage. There is also a shed in the yard for extra storage if needed.
- Two porches <3
- Free street parking. About 90 percent of the time, parking is available right out the front door, but occasionally, weekends can get busy in Fountain Square. There is a plethora of nearby parking options (side streets, two free lots right nearby).
- Great location: steps from the Red Line Ft. Square stop and the heart of the neighborhood. Multiple coffee shops, bars, and restaurants within a 5-minute walk. 7-minute drive to downtown, 30-minute walk on Cultural Trail.
- We cannot take any more pets, but we are looking for a roommate who likes them. I have two tabby cats. One is a girl, and she’s very mellow & will give you your space. The other is a sociable boy who is curious, cuddly, and sometimes toddler-like. He loves to be held and adored and definitely runs the house.
- Our house is older, and you can occasionally hear neighborhood noise at night. It hasn’t been an issue for me, but I wanted to note it if you’re a very light sleeper.
Cost details:
- $666 a month + utilities.
- All utilities (recycling, trash, water, gas, electric, WiFi, everything) have been about $120 a month for each person, but this obviously fluctuates.
- Misc. roommate expenses like paper towels, cleaning supplies — we split Costco runs.
If you’re interested, shoot me a message with a little about yourself, what you’re looking for in a living situation, and any questions. We can go from there!
About the roomies
About Us:
- We are both 25 y/o professionals and work in person most days. I’m pretty engaged with the surrounding community, friends, and I have a kayak that rests in the guest bedroom when not in use. We also grow a small garden out front, like to puzzle, bake, and bop around town.
- The house is relaxed & comfy. We are looking for someone who values a friendly, inclusive environment. We’re not overly rigid about cleanliness, but we do keep it tidy and are in search of a roommate willing to partake in household chores alongside of us.
- As for the general home environment, we respect each other’s space and alone time, but love to chat, debrief our days, and sometimes go on walks or work out together. We’re chill with having friends over, and we coordinate with each other to occasionally have guests stay over in the extra bedroom.
- We’re looking for someone responsible, easy-going, respectful, and friendly.
