About the room
Well, Roomies is just crashing when I try to upload or change the photos. If you are interested in the room, please reach out and I will share some more photos. For now, know that I’m not looking for someone to live in the closet (I mean, even Harry Potter wouldn’t live there) and please rely on the descriptions in my preprepaired remark below.
Hello! I’m currently renting a two story, 2,256 Sq Ft house by myself and am looking for someone to rent out the master bedroom on the ground level floor. The house was built in the 50s and was remodeled just over a year ago. It has a spacious yard in the front and back and a secluded porch behind the house, a well stocked kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a piano. The house floorplan includes communal and furnished living room, dining room, weight room, study room, and guest bathroom. The master bed and bath are unfurnished. Room Descriptions Master Bed and Bath: Unfurnished and up for rent. Room Dimensions 19 Ft 9 In by 11 Ft Wide and 7 ft 8 In Tall. 2 windows and a closet. My room is on the exact opposite side of the house, so noise should be at a minimum. Kitchen: I meal plan and cook in the kitchen every week, so the kitchen is very well equipped. There is a matching set of plates, bowls, and silverware that tenants are welcome to use or space for more kitchen supplies if needed. Living Room: The Living Room features a piano that I am learning to play, but only use when the house is empty. There is also a 51 inch TV connected to Apple TV, a Wii, PS3, PS4, XBox 360, and a XBox 1 with a fount of controllers and games that I don’t have the time to use anymore. Tenants are free to use the entertainment systems whenever they would like so long as they don’t beat my highscores. Weight Room is nothing fancy, but does boast a weight bench set, declined sit up bench, pull up bar, and dumbbells from 10 to 40 lbs. Study Room: This room is still being furnished, but is intended to be a place to hang out with friends and play some board games. If you like board games, you’ll be in good company and will have a generous selection to choose from. This room will also be home to a color printer for reasonable, communal use. Bathrooms: There are three bathrooms in the house; one guest bathroom adjacent to the living room, one connected to the master bedroom for the renter’s use, and one connected to my room for my use. Parking is available streetside or in the driveway. There is also a basketball hoop in the driveway. I’m not a hooper myself, so the hoop is in the same sorry state that the previous tenants left it, but I would be happy to give it some TLC if I had a roommate to help me. The location is less than a mile from a Food Lion and just over a mile from an Aldi. Downtown Raleigh and NC State are only a 15 minute drive and public bus stops are a short walk away. White Deer Park and a YMCA with a pool are both nearby. I bike by both frequently. I work very strange hours and am pretty consistently away from home. The free time I do have I tend to spend biking, gaming, cooking, cleaning, or climbing outside and at Triangle Rock Climbing Salvageyard. If you’re a climber, I’m always in need of another boulder buddy. I didn’t clean at all for the pictures in the listing. That is as clean as I keep my house and I would like it to stay that clean after someone else moves in. Of course, what you do in the Master Bedroom is up to you, but all communal areas should stay clean. On that note, no smoking or drug use of any type is allowed. I am a pilot and any sort of drug use, even 2nd hand, could permanently end my career, so I will not live in the same house as someone who uses drugs. Thanks for reading this far and have a good day! :)
About the roomies
I’m 21 and graduated with my Associates from GTCC and finished flight training up to the Commercial Multi rating. Now I work for a company doing flights, ground runs, and minor aircraft upkeep. Work keeps me away from home most of the time, and I spend most of my free time out climbing things, so I don’t take up much space. I grew up Christian, homeschooled and on a farm, so I’m about as traditional as it gets.
