About the room
The shared condo is perfectly perched about four blocks north of Pearl Street, two blocks from North Boulder Park, and a quick five-block jaunt to Mount Sanitas. Basically, if you like trees, trails, and good coffee, we’re in the sweet spot. The condo is a 2-bed, 2-bath setup on the first floor. Your room is a cozy 9.5 x 9.5 ft space with two great windows. You’ll have a standard 6 x 2 ft closet and your own bathroom (which also houses our shared washer/dryer). It’ll be unfurnished, but if you want the Queen mattress left behind by a former roommate, it’s yours! In the winter, there is plenty of sun, in the summer, the tree foliage grows in so thick you’ll feel like you’re living in a very fancy treehouse. Privacy: No shared walls! Your room is on the opposite side of the condo from mine bedroom.
I’ve intentionally set up the living room, reading nook, and dining space to cultivate thinking and good company. You won’t find a TV here, but I do have a projector, speakers, and a popcorn machine for movie nights. I’m also “practicing being old,” so there’s a bird feeder outside the window. You can watch the local wildlife or the sunrise right from the sofa. Bonus: My bedroom has the “proper” bathtub, and you are more than welcome to use it whenever you need a real soak!
Logistics & Parking: I have an assigned spot, but there is plenty of street parking. You’ll just need to grab a resident pass from the city so you don’t get nabbed by the 3-hour limit. We have outdoor bike locks, and honestly, it’s an easy walk, bike, or bus ride to just about anywhere.
About the roomies
I’m a mineral dealer by trade (Wheat Ridge office, Mon–Thu), so I’m out of the house most days. I’m also a Sōtō Zen Priest, so you might occasionally hear some hum-dum-dilly-dums (chanting) coming from my altar in the living room.
Then there’s Uma, a miniature Aussie who turns one this July. She’s in her “teenage” phase, smart enough to trick you into giving her treats or to play, but generally pretty chill.
The Fine Print: You’ve got to love dogs. Doggy glitter (hair) is a lifestyle here, though I keep a healthy stock of lint rollers. Sorry, no additional pets.
Food: I’m mostly plant-based but hit the club (Costco) once a month and love to share.
As a Hmong American, Minnesotan, and Queer (“The GAY” is what my mom calls me) individual, I’m a big believer in community. Once a month, I host dinner parties for about six people—friends, travelers, or strangers of interest.
I’m looking for a roommate who is growth-oriented: Maybe you’re in grad school or career focus. Culturally aware, someone with a healthy EQ who understands social privilege and impact. A “Boring Cow” enthusiast, someone who enjoys a mix of good conversation and quiet “personal project” time.
