About the room
The room is located near the heart of Tempe, no more than 5 min from the nearest light-rail station. I’ve been living in the apartment for 2 years and haven’t had any problems with bugs or loud neighbors. It is on the 2nd floor and doesn’t have an elevator. The management is competent and has handled AC, water, and appliance problems in a timely manner. There is an in-unit washer and dryer and dishwasher.
IMPORTANT: The apartment management requires you to apply to them to be added on to the lease and move in; there is a $250 admin fee.
I and my current roommate (who is moving out) pay around $1450 for rent split evenly. Then WiFi comes out to around $140, and SRP (power) is fairly variable; around $150 is a safe bet for the hot summer months.
If you have a pet like a cat or other small critter, there is some small fee that is tacked on to rent, but the apartment does allow them.
