More information about the above:
Accessibility♿
The unit is on the first floor with 4 steps up to the front or back door. These steps have handrails. There are no steps inside the unit. There is a bathtub with no handrails.
🚗 Transportation and Location 🗺️
The unit is a 9 minute walk to the Readville commuter rail stop and a 7 minute walk to the 32 bus which takes you to Forest Hills. Shaw’s, shops, a library, and a YMCA are accessible in about 13 minutes by the 32. There is also a Costco and BJs about 15 minutes away by car (I have a Costco membership we can share!). There is a nice park a block away with tennis courts, a baseball field, a walking trail with historical plaques, a playground, and some picnic tables. There is super easy street parking out front. You don’t need a permit, and there is no street cleaning so you never have to move your car. I am usually the only person parked in front of the unit.
🐈⬛Pets🐕
The unit is dog and cat friendly. No limits, pet rent, or deposit. The landlord and his family live above the unit and have two dogs and a cat of their own. Their dogs, Kai and Zion, are super friendly and often times play in the huge shared backyard with our current dog tenant, Marcy, a Miniature Pinscher who will be leaving the unit on 3/1.
📋 Lease 📋
I’m currently on a month-to-month, but the landlord is planning to have me and the new roommate sign a yearlong lease once the new roommate is confirmed. It’s possible the landlord could be flexible on the length of the lease, since he is generally flexible, but I haven’t asked him. The only move in cost would be the first month’s rent and a month’s rent security deposit. The landlord has not previously raised the rent, so hopefully that will continue to be the pattern going forward.
About the roomies
✨About me✨
I am a 27 year old gal. I’ve lived in Boston for about 6 years after initially moving here in 2019 to finish my BFA at Emerson.
I enjoy crafting, baking, and a good movie or tv show.
In terms of cleanliness, I am very good about keeping common areas clean and I try to develop habits around cleaning things throughout my day and then doing a big reset at the end of the week.
