Looking for a roommate for my 2 bed/2 bath apartment in jersey city (located on Newark Ave in the village (between Hamilton Park and downtown JC) 

in the My amazing roommate is moving out of Jersey city because she got engaged and is relocating to a new town. You will have the main bedroom with a private bathroom attached to your suite. This room is spacious  lovely.

We have a large kitchen with a washing machine and large living room too. This apartment is pet friendly, although there is a pet fee (I think it’s a one-time fee)

Building Amenities: • laundry in the building • Elevator • Trash/recycling room • Private parking lot available and can only be accessed via a private garage attached to the building (I believe parking is $250 a month or something like that) • Rooftop • Bike room • Excellent super/maintenant crew who respond quickly to any apartment issues

The location: This apartment is about a 10-13 minute walk from the grove street path station. Sometimes it takes me 8 minutes to get to the path (on weekends when there is no car traffic and I don’t have to stop at crosswalks). Sometimes it takes 13 minutes if I have to wait for cars to pass. 

It’s a straight shot to the path entrance & Newark Abe passenger promenade where all the best shops, restaurants and bars are located. There is a bus stop right next to the building if you don’t feel like walking. There is also a city bike station a block from the apartment. 

We are a 10 minute walk from the lovely Hamilton Park - a cute 3rd space that has amazing free events, farmers markets, art fairs, cafes, boutiques and amazing restaurants.

About  me  I work in communications in nyc and go into the office most days. I’m in the city 4-6 days a week. I love this apartment because it’s set up so we have our own separate spaces and we can feel like we almost live alone. I like to enjoy my peace and quiet at home, so I don’t bring the party home with me and I’m looking for someone who likes their home to be a peaceful and safe haven too. 

I’m looking for a female or gay male roommate in their late 20s-late 30s because our lifestyles have a better chance of overlapping. Looking for someone who is clean, respectful of and mindful of how often they have guests over/ does not bring complete strangers they just met at a bar home or anything like that because it’s not safe. My top priorities are safety, communication and finding a roommate that prioritizes a peaceful and relaxing environment.
