THE ROOM: The available bedroom has its own ensuite private bathroom, two closets with custom shelving, plus access to a spacious storage / utility closet room. The main chamber of the bedroom measures 15 feet by 10 feet (150 square feet), with an 8-foot ceiling; the private bathroom and three closet spaces are all 8 feet tall as well. There is one large window that slides halfway open across itself and a ceiling fan in the main chamber, and a vent fan in the bathroom. The cost for rent is $825 per month (All Bills Paid, including wireless Internet). A deposit of $800 plus the first month’s rent ($825) will be required upon move-in. Additionally, I require at least three months’ notice before you plan to move out in order to retain the deposit.

THE PROPERTY: Remodeled single family home in East Austin on a fairly quiet street backing up to a small greenbelt. There is a readily-accessible clothes washer and dryer inside the house, a fire-pit and garden area behind the house, and adequate attic and crawl-space areas for additional storage above and below the house itself as well. A natural neighborhood drainage creek behind the house (small greenbelt) creates a more secluded backyard area.

THE AREA: Quiet East-Austin neighborhood, less than two miles North of the Austin Bouldering Project Climbing Gym and Canopy Art Studios & Gallery Complex. Walking distance to Springdale Neighborhood Park, Givens Park (along Springdale between Oak Springs and 12th Street), and the Sahara Lounge on Webberville Road. Five-minute access to Highway 183, and only 12 minutes from downtown. 15-minute bike ride from the head of the Southern Walnut Creek Bike Trail at Govalle Neighborhood Park.

Two working males in late 30s live here; Everyone has their own bedroom and bathroom. Personal responsible cleanliness is absolutely required in all shared areas (kitchen, living room & front hall, and laundry room).

JIM: Male in late 30s, works away from home, musician, outdoor enthusiast, hockey & disc golf enthusiast.

CHRIS: Male in mid 30s, works from home, laid back, also outdoor and disc golf enthusiast.

We strive to be laid back, friendly, and respectful of others’ privacy. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. Conversations & movie watching are of course welcome, time permitting. : )
