About the room
Looking for chill queer friendly people to take over part of a lease on a house rental in the Jones Farm neighborhood. This would start April 1st and end Dec 31st.
The pictures are from our landlord, but the rooms will be empty, unfurnished and cleaned before your move in.
2 bedrooms 12x12ft each with closet, hallway closet for you to use, and private bathroom. Washer/Dryer are upstairs.
One office downstairs available for private use for an additional $300 a month.
Utilities will be split evenly among # of roommates - garbage, gas, electric, water/sewer and internet bills. Average around $200 each per month.
You will have to go through an application process with landlord, pass a background check, and show proof of employment and income, etc. Additionally, please provide 1-2 recent previous roommate references.
This is a large house with garage, backyard, garden, two car driveway (one spot available) and plenty of additional parking on the street. House has central heating and air conditioning. Property manager is good and takes care of problems quickly. We have not had a rental increase because we have maintained the yard and home.
Shared two car garage for storage. Shared pantry, with a large fridge and additional chest freezer in the garage. There is a large garden (25x 15ft) out back that has been amended and prepped for spring planting and has a few perennial herbs and vegetables. Current roommate is not interested in gardening, so this would be your space to do with as you please. Last year it yielded many tomatoes, summer and winter squash, onions, radish, etc. Large mature blueberry bushes. Shared chores involve mowing the small lawn in the back and keeping the front yard free of weeds and leaves. Yard is also secure for supervised outdoor time for pets.
Area is a quiet, safe, and friendly neighborhood in the Jones Farm area. Neighbors are very nice. Walking distance to nearby Intel campus. Under 10 minute drive to Safeway and Costco.
Cats welcome, but must be non-destructive and friendly with another cat. You will have to pay pet deposit ($500) and monthly pet rent($50) to landlord unless they have ESA paperwork. Dogs or other pets possible on an individual basis.
About the roomies
About the current roommate: I’m a 39 year old trans non-binary dude (they/them pronouns). I work full time 4 days a week, and spend my days off playing video games, watching movies, and making music (my daily guitar practice is respectful of quiet hours, and never goes past 10pm). I have one cat, The Goblin (age 8), who is very friendly and loves to play and explore the backyard.
If this sounds like a good fit or you’d like any additional information, please reach out.
