Hello, my name is Matt and I have a 12x11 bedroom and full private bathroom in my apartment available for rent. The lease will be month-to-month so there is no need to sign a long term lease agreement. I’m just looking for someone to fill the current vacancy as soon as possible.

Rent on the apartment is $2,300 per month — not including utilities (but I’m willing to negotiate those depending on what is being used). I’m hoping to find someone who is responsible, pays their portion of rent on time every month, and willing to split rent and utilities with me 50/50. So your portion of rent would be $1,150 per month plus utilities (which are normally not very much depending on the usage). I will not require a security deposit either, just the first month’s rent.

The complex is called Heatherwood Apartments and it’s located right next to the 8 freeway entrance on Baltimore Drive in La Mesa. The grounds are very well maintained and there is laundry on-site, a gym, a tennis court, a recreation center, two pools, and a hot tub.

The room itself is unfurnished and you will also have your own private bathroom (detached). The rest of the apartment is fully furnished so there is no need for any additional furniture beside what goes in your bedroom and bathroom. Street parking is available until a second parking space opens up.

It’s a great little spot with an even better location — just down the street from Grossmont Center and plenty of other shops and restaurants.

A little about me: I’m 40 years old, I love watching sports, going to the beach, hanging out with my family, finding new restaurants to try, and I graduated from SDSU with a bachelor’s degree in health communication. I would not consider myself to be a clean freak but I do tend to keep things very tidy in the common areas of the apartment. I’m also a pretty quiet person, usually just hanging out in my room when I’m home, and I hardly ever have anyone over visiting me.

I think that I’m really chill, respectful, and accommodating as a roommate. Plus, I’m very open-minded so I tend to get along well with all types of people and don’t judge people for their lifestyles as long as they are respectful to me as well. I actually enjoy keeping the common areas clean and aim to be as helpful as possible to accomplish that. Also, I hardly ever have anyone over and I try my best to not be loud. It’s all about mutual respect in my opinion. I’m just looking to find someone who’s compatible and pays their portion of rent on time every month to be my new roommate.
