About the room

1 furnished bedroom ($1100 per month) and one unfurnished bedroom ($1200 per moth) available for rent in a 4-bed, 2-bath unit in Jamaica Plain from 9/1/2026 to 8/31/2026 (although you can start moving stuff in a couple of days early!)

Utilities tend to run about ~$120 in the winter, and closer to ~$80 in the warmer months

The apartment is 5-minutes away from the Jackson Square T stop and super close to Centre Street with tons of good restaurants, an awesome local pub, and several shops nearby, including a Stop & Shop that’s a 5-minute walk, and a Whole Foods that’s about 10-minutes walking.

Laundry is in-unit, completely free, and in a separate section of the basement, so super easy to access without any worries about disruption from other tenants.

Parking is off-street, but we’ve never had issues finding decent parking within a 2-minute walk from the house

Total move-in costs are $1537.50 to $1637.50, including first months rent ($1100 to $1200 depending on room) + security deposit ($375) + roommate addition fee ($62.50)

About the roomies

We’re all young professionals who have been in Boston for a few years now. Mike (25) is a sports reporter for a major Boston newspaper, and I (25) work for a consulting firm downtown.

We’re pretty social and hang out together most days, and usually have friends over 1-2 times every month. On Thursdays our house heads to the local pub (Brendan Behan’s) for a few pints and darts
