About the room

Quiet place to study/live in a nice neighbor that is close to the UTD Campus/businesses/restaurants/cinema/grocery stores. Access to all appliances. Many freebies. New dryer and dishwasher. High speed internet. Rent split on 1st & 16th. Utilities included. Have recently added lazy boy recliner and love seat to room. Ideal for student or contract worker.

About the roomies

We try to keep the place reasonably quiet during the day and very quite at night. I am retired and a cancer patient.

I can offer a furnished room with a private bath; high speed wi-fi; Netflix, Peacock, Paramount+, VUDU and Amazon (lots of free movies that I own) on the HD TV in the living area; utilities paid; plus, other amenities. I have always had male roommates in the past (normally college students as UTD is close by) but I would prefer to have a lady in the house for a change.

I use the rent money to pay down debt and fix-up the house. I split the monthly rent into two payments (1st and 16th). There is no contract. I want to get a renter as soon as possible but am in no hurry to get the wrong person. I am looking for a person who is goal oriented like myself. (In the past that has usually been a full-time student, a part time student with a job, or a contract worker (like a traveling nurse). I treat the house as a quiet place to relax and unwind. I don’t care if you like to go out and party just don’t bring the party here. Three rules: No overnight guests, pay the rent on time, and keep it very quiet at night (I have trouble sleeping). If this is a lifestyle you could be content with and something you would like to pursue, please let me know. Hoping to find someone that would commit for at least 1 year. Thanks. Tom

p.s. - I would need some sort of proof of current income and a recommendation as to your character from a source other than a relative (member of the clergy, employer, educator, people in the business or volunteer community, etc.).
