Pets. :( I ADORE THEM - I have 2 cats, but can’t have any more roaming animals per my cat ~hating~ them minus his sibling. :( & per lease

Decor. Curated, pink, maximalist, kitsch, unsubtle, clearly unreligious, & highly intentional aesthetically. Shared spaces are themed & fixed. I want to be upfront! If you dgaf, that works lol. If that look excites you, pls for the love of god say hi. If you hate it, this won’t work. It’s taken long to get here; so it’s a fixation to make a place my ☁️ home at last. If we share taste, collab. 💅🏽 I add often. I don’t want you to feel like a guest.

Rent/Utilities. Fixed price. The $690 includes everything (gas, AEP, water, trash, internet, etc). Utilities stay in my name. Central air (I run cold: ~68° at night, ~71–73° daytime). If I rack up the heat bill, I will not increase your electric. I split rent by BR size vs equally as mine is larger.

For you. Private BR. 95–100 sq ft. Full bed fits, queen might be tight. Fully unfurnished. Small closet. LOTS of windows, beautiful lighting throughout the house & your BR. ☀️

Lease. Co-lease required, I stay primary lease-holder. Landlord runs BG/credit check. Income: $2.5k/m gross+. Month-to-month, open-ended. No pressure to stay long but welcome to!

🏠 3BR, split-duplex, good landlord. Beside a community garden 💐🍅. Hardwood downstairs, carpet up. Bus stop in walking distance. Cons are stairs, 🚗 street parking (I don’t drive, usually space), many rooms strangely have only 1 outlet.

🧼 Being clean matters. The unit had a pest issue before my move-in; it’s been under control with regular treatment & no recent problems. Being garden-adjacent, the occasional mouse can happen. I’m proactive & transparent about prevention. Happy to answer questions. (One of the cats takes their security job very seriously.)

Shared areas. Bathroom, kitchen + appliances & dishwasher, basement (unfurnished - great storage), my washer + dryer to share, back patio covered, front porch enclosed, a small guest room that friends/family can stay in respectfully! Dining room has been turned into an Art Room free to use!

Me:

33 yo single cis woman, alt, queer, poc, neurodivergent, poly, agnostic-leaning but a bit woo (tarot, astrology, etc), far-left politics. Value alignment matters.

work from home in tech 12–8pm M–F. nocturnal (3-5am-ish+), introvert, homebody, quiet except for laughing, daily work meetings, & talking to my cats. need alone time but love friends! i use shared spaces often: work office & tv downstairs. no space is exclusive to me.

must be at least liberal, pro-Palestine 🍉, animal lover. Must not be: pro-Trump, pro-ICE, pro-cop.

Pets. two very sweet, fully spoiled (like, paris hilton tinkerbell level), indoor neutered male cats. no expectation of you but being comfortable & happy living with cats, and never letting them outside, + treating them kindly. they are quite loving! living with cats experience is a +. if you don’t literally love cats this probably won’t work. cats are my identity and they’re family.

Environment. calm. friends/family/partners welcome. i have out-of-town visitors every 1-3 months who stay for a weekend, sometimes a few days more. no abundance of strangers pls, those you have established relationships w/are preferred for safety, but i understand occasional exceptions. :~) a heads-up before guests is appreciated when possible. groups are fine but no large or frequent parties.

🍃 weed is fine idc how much/if you smoke. i no longer do, but my friends do! hard drugs: no. light use of other~ substances ~ is ok, not in excess. i vape A LOT inside (non-negotiable.) weed can be inside, but away from cats (one has asthma). cigs outside only, with an ashtray. drinking is fine; but no heavy drinking environment.
