About the room
I live in a small 16-unit apartment complex near 5 points. The complex is very well maintained as this is the landlord’s passion project in his later years. The apartment is on the first floor and has a spacious living room albeit with only a few pieces of furniture in it currently. My former roommate had supplied most of the communal furniture and recently moved out. The room itself has two closets and a nice large window for sun with a ceiling fan. One great thing about this unit is that you will have your own bathroom with a shared shower. (Shower is plastic, so some discoloration, but cleaned regularly) There’s also a large stackable washer/dryer in unit. The complex is very centrally located, minutes from downtown, Wade Ave., and 440. We’re a tight knit community here and it’s safe, well lit, and neighbors are friendly and neighborly, but not overly so. This is a very pet friendly place with many of the neighbors having dogs and cats. I’m willing to share any of my household goods like a Ninja air fryer, electric kettle, pots and pans, etc.
About the roomies
About me: 50-year-old tech writer who mostly keeps to himself. I am generally either chilling in my room watching a movie or playing a game, out with my dog, or working. I volunteer and Door Dash on the side to keep busy. I’m generally in my room when home unless I’m meal prepping. I’m friendly, even outgoing, but am also happy to leave you to your own space. I do have a large dog named Hazel. While I know everyone says this, she’s the sweetest thing ever. She will become your best friend in minutes and is EXCEPTIONALLY quiet. She only barks when she hears the door knocking, which I take as a good thing. She is also fine with cats and would probably give them a wide berth. I’m happy to live with anyone as long as they’re respectful of the property and myself as well as clean up after themselves. My former roommate was 24 and had to move back with her mother who fell ill suddenly while my roommate before that was in their 70s. If you have any questions, please reach out!
