Looking for a female roommate to take over sublease in spacious 3 bedroom apartment near downtown Saco (20 minutes south of Portland). The location is perfect-it’s on a quiet street one block from Main St., walking distance to downtown Biddeford, and about a 5 minute drive to the beach or the highway. Your bedroom can be furnished or unfurnished, whichever you’d prefer. It has two windows and a closet with two clothes bars. The rest of the place is furnished, but I’m happy to redecorate with the right person if you have your own stuff to add! The 3rd bedroom is an office that we can share, so it would just be the two of us. There’s a portable dishwasher in the kitchen, a washer and dryer in the pantry, and one bathroom with a decent tub. The open-style living room/dining room has several windows and it feels nice and airy. It’s the entire first floor of a 3-story building and the whole apartment has light hardwood floors. There’s a little porch in front and a small yard in the back with a picnic table. We have our own driveway to share, but there’s also plenty of street parking.

Heat, electricity, and internet are not included. Of course, the bills are more expensive in the winter, but your half shouldn’t be more than $200. In the warmer months, it would be more like $120.

I’m an elementary school teacher in my mid-thirties, and my ideal roommate would be another female professional in a similar age bracket. I’m not home much during the week, but need to go to bed at a reasonable hour for school. I’m a total extrovert, so would love to find a roommate I can also be friends with! I love to play pickleball, do yoga, go to the beach, play board games, go to concerts, and travel. On the weekends, I love to have game nights with friends, go out for a few casual drinks, or just chill at home. I’m naturally a night owl and like to sleep in when I can. I’m a vegetarian and like to eat healthy for the most part. It would be awesome to have a roommate that has a similar diet and would like to meal prep together! I don’t have any pets, but I’m open to the right roommate having a cat or a small hypoallergenic dog. I’m a bit allergic to pet hair, so I would need you keep up with cleaning up after them. No cigarette smokers, but I’m fine with occasional cannabis use. I think communication and openness are the most important thing in any type of relationship, especially to ensure that everyone feels comfortable in their own home. Ideally this would be a long term rental and it’s available any time!
