Furnished private bedroom available in a large two-story house. Available starting 1 January.

Looking for one roommate to share use of the home with the female homeowner in her mid-thirties.

Deposit is required and equal to one month’s rent. Rent is due first of the month. This is not the entire home or a separate house for rent.

There are two shared bathrooms in the house that awere available to use, one downstairs that will be shared with occasional guests, and one upstairs that will be shared with me ( NOT en suites).

Price includes all utilities and internet.
This is a safe and very quiet walking neighborhood, with a lovely park at its center that many families come by to enjoy. The beach and both Oxnard and Channel Islands harbors are all only 6 minutes away by car. There is a wonderful farmer’s market nearby every Sunday as well.

The property has a three-car garage but it is currently being used for storage, so is not available for parking. Parking is driveway parking in a three-car driveway.

You will have full kitchen privileges which includes use of all cookware, dishes, and cutlery. Shared areas include: Living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, breakfast nook, yoga and dance room, back patio and backyard. There is plenty of room in my house to relax and unwind. Washer and dryer upstairs near the room.

I am considering dogs, but would prefer somebody with no pets. Cats will not work.

This room is not available for rent to couples, families, or people that intend to occupy the room full time with more than one person. The room is for single occupancy only.

You must also be willing to submit to a credit/background check.

You will be sharing the house with myself, the female homeowner in my mid-thirties. I am an interior designer and I work outside of the house M-TH and every other Fri. I am also an artist and creative and am renovating my house myself. I always have a project I am working on during my free time, and my home will continue to evolve alongside me over time as well. I am also very active and do yoga, hiking, and recently started my dance and acroyoga journey. I am out and about often enjoying nature, but also love being at home relaxing and listening to music or gardening. I am bit of a night owl and do stay up late working on house or creative projects or practicing dance in the studio, but it is a large house so noise levels shouldn’t be much of a concern. However, if you are more sensitive to noise later in the evenings, keep this in mind as this may not be the listing for you. I don’t have people over too often, and treat my home as more of a sanctuary to recharge, unwind, and let my hair down in.
