Beautifully maintained 160 year old home with original hardwood floors, big windows and tall ceilings, working brick fireplace, chef’s kitchen, spacious backyard with 2 decks and edible garden, and plenty of cozy spaces to curl up with a book. This is a 5 bedroom house with 3 bathrooms. Rooms come furnished with bed, bedding, and storage. Garden features 11 fruit trees (peaches, nectarines, cherry, pawpaws, fig, persimmon, elderberry), 2 blueberry bushes, 1 blackberry bush and an over 5 strawberry plants. Garden is open to residents that live in the building. Herbs, greens, and produce as well! Additional storage is available in the basement. 1 room (green room in pics) is currently available–1 on the third floor (faces north)/shared bathroom with one other person. Trundle bed offers two places to sleep with a toddler bed available upon request. The third floor room is open for anyone but is suitable for a parent and child.

An additional room will be available May 2026. It is on the 2nd floor facing north. It is the purple room in the pictures. There are currently 4 housemates, all women.

Location is west in between Euclid and Kingshighway. 3 min drive to forest park, BJC, Children Hospital, School of Pharmacy, Central West End Business District, Delmar Makers District; 5 minutes to Delmar Loop; cheap neighborhood bars in walking distance; cornerstone in walking distance; 4 grocery stores in close proximity includes Schnucks, Aldi, Whole Foods, and Straubs; Schools include New City School, Northside Community School, Friendly School, Crossroads, Cardinal Ritter. Easy access to highway 40/64 and 70. 12 min drive to downtown or hop on a bus or train. Quiet street with all homeowners, who look out for each other, stay active on the block and speak to one another.

4 housemates, all women. one in medical field, one in banking, one in retail, the other in philanthropy. One loves to garden, 2 love to cook and they are respectful of boundaries. They can be social, but will respect an introvert or someone who wants to be to themselves. We have monthly house meetings where we make dinner together, share our goals, and go through home maintenance needs.
