We are in the “penthouse” (whole 3rd floor) of a 7-unit condo building. It’s a 2-bed, 2-bath with a spacious living area and a private roof space. The rooms and living areas offer lots of light, newer appliances, and some funky design elements. I am very open to re-wall-papering the Gucci panther print that is currently the backdrop of the living room lol. Your room has 2 large windows, a large closet, and a connected bathroom.

Our neighbors are friendly, we have a good relationship with the unit owner, plus a responsive management company. You would be a lease substitution. The current lease ends on April 31, 2026, and there’s a possibility of a lease extension. I’m hoping to find someone to move in mid-December to early January.

We’re located in the Petworth, less than a mile walk to both the Petworth/Georgia Ave and Fort Totten metro stations. We’re also close to several bus lines and capital bike share stations.

There is off-street parking available for an additional $40 per month.

Base rent is $1,400, and includes gas and water. Utilities are additional: Half of $80 WiFi Bill ($40) Half of Variable Electric Bill ($50-75).

It’s just me and my 2-year-old dog. He’s a hound/lab mix, well-behaved, and will want to be your best friend. You must love dogs and be comfortable setting boundaries (or he’ll make your lap his preferred place to sit!). We love spending time outside together–long walks in Rock Creek Park and wandering around neighborhoods.

I am an early 30s progressive woman who works in education. I keep a clean and organized house, and am a kind, considerate, and flexible housemate. I WFH one day a week, and am equally happy spending a Saturday night curled up on the couch for a movie night, having friends over for board games, or checking out a new restaurant or bar.
