The Boulder Housing Coalition is a nonprofit organization committed to offering permanently affordable community living in Boulder through creating low-income cooperative houses. We have four beautiful houses in ideal locations around Boulder and one in Denver. Living in community is more economical, better for the environment, and lots of fun!
We each have our own private bedrooms, but share meals, buy organic (mostly) vegetarian food together in bulk, grow gardens, take turns doing chores, play music, take advantage of the amazing hikes and outdoor adventures so near to our homes, play games, build lifelong friendships, and meet weekly to practice consensus decision-making and restorative conversations. We receive trainings and experience in effective communication, social justice issues, meeting facilitation, environmental sustainability, and more.
The lease is one year long. Pets are considered.
Eclectic crew of people of all ages and backgrounds. We have 5 cooperative houses in Boulder and Denver. We are activists, students, health care workers, artists, weirdos…and we work together to make decisions by consensus, manage our homes, support each other, and have fun!
