The house: ⁃ 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom 2-story rowhouse. ⁃ Vacant room is on the 1st floor ⁃ In-unit washer/dryer shared on the 1st floor. ⁃ Kitchen has a gas stove/oven (replaced summer 2024) and refrigerator (replaced ~2023). ⁃ Kitchen is stocked with microwave, appliances, kitchen tools, and some shared dishware. -The main shared space is a furnished, open living/dining room with an expandable dining table, two couches, coffee table, bookshelves, and small TV. ⁃ The house has high ceilings and hardwood floors or tile throughout. ⁃ Our landlord is local to the area, respectful and typically responsive to any issues in the house. ⁃ Plenty of street parking if you have a car. Both rooms share a half bathroom downstairs and share the full bath upstairs with one other person.

The neighborhood: ⁃ Charming residential neighborhood with many excellent restaurants/coffee shops within 2-4 blocks in any direction (Red Hen, Big Bear, Aroi, Bacio Pizza, Boundary Stone, Showtime, Pub and People, etc.) ⁃ Beautiful tree-lined streets; lively but also mostly quiet! ⁃ The Crispus Attucks park is a great neighborhood “secret” park! It’s a 5 minute walk. ⁃ We’re about a 15-minute walk from the Shaw/Howard U metro station (green/yellow lines) and the NoMa/Gallaudet U metro station (red line) in the other direction ⁃ Bus lines run along North Capitol Street, as well as Rhode Island and Florida Avenues Buses are frequent and there are many (ex 90, 96, 80, G8, etc.) ⁃ Lots of grocery options (many bodegas nearby, 15 min bus rides/drives or easy bike rides to Trader Joe’s, Union Market, Giant, and Harris Teeter).

We are two early-30s professional women. One works remotely full time and the other is hybrid, in office two days a week. We’re friendly, clean, and social justice minded! We’re looking for a roommates who are also friendly, clean, respectful, flexible, and laidback.
