Located in downtown Brooklyn a few blocks off the Brooklyn Bridge in a multi apartment building. Two bedside lamps each has two USB connections. Very convenient area for transportation getting into the city a few minutes on the train and you’re in lower Manhattan.

I’m not asking for a security deposit because that can be a burden for many. However I have to make a change. Recently I held the room open for a member on here for more than 30 days who never showed up or responded to my text. I took him at his word because he said he’s a law student and needs a place to stay until the end of May 2026. He contacted me more than two months before he needed the room. During that time other members inquired about the room but I had to tell them it would not be available after January 1, 2026. The member never had the decency to contact me to say he’s not coming and to go ahead and rent to someone else. From now on if someone is interested in the room outside of 30 days I would require a one month deposit of $1500. Under 30 days reservation ahead of start of rental date no deposit needed. If you wait to cancel within 14 days and less from rental date then you forfeit your deposit. Rentals are not easy to come by in NYC. It’s not fair that someone holds up my room rental for over 30 days then never show up or have the courtesy to send a text that they won’t show up.

Several buses run outside the building or close by one block away. Closest subway station is two blocks away.

Apartment and room will be available for rental next summer from July 1 to September.

As for me I’m a retired health care professional. I do travel from time to time. I grew up in Brooklyn. I saw many changes over the years in the neighborhood.
