About the room
Couples are welcome housemate cost ($1500/month) includes the larger room and own bathroom.
Other Options: Housemate cost for room that is smaller (12x16) with the upstairs bathroom being shared is $1000/month
No predetermined maximum stay as we revisit this in discussion periodically, and it depends on how well we “fit” as housemates.
We live surrounded by state park with trails for hiking or biking. Large yard with a covered porch. Driveway is plowed well during snow season. You would have a large room (approx 22x12) that has very large closet space (approx 12x3.5), 3 windows and 2 ceiling fans. The room can be arranged to be like a studio for yourself (dining table and chairs, television, desk, queen size bed, etc.) . You would have your own bathroom with shower right next to your room. Room and bathroom are on the second floor. House has central air conditioning and heating. Typically we maintain 70 degrees year round. If you are neat and conscientious you can also use the washer and dryer in the basement (1 or 2 loads/week).
About the roomies
Both myself and my partner (male) live our with our goldendoodle (30 lbs) and about 4-5 days/week my son’s golden retriever (we coparent!) I work in healthcare with children and families and my partner has his own excavation company. He has three wonderful grandchildren who on occassion, visit. I am very wholistic and my partner is pragmatic and energetic. We are looking for a housemate for two reasons: Financial benefit so that we can have a more balanced lifestyle and also, in the future, we hope to establish an intentional community on my property. We enjoy (RV’ing- small couples camper), outdoor activities, dancing, meeting new people, and spending time with family. We have started vegetable gardening this year.
The “idea” is for us each to have privacy as well as conscientious use of shared spaces. Being mindful is important as is being able to non-judgmentally communicate and work out small issues.
