This is half of a charming double bungalow un shady green uptown, about 10 minutes on foot from the Lake of the Isles. So close to Walgreens, Frattelones, and Kowalskis’s I occasionally forget I drove and get all the way home on foot before I remember! The other unit of the duplex is also rented out, and our duplex is sandwiched between our very attentive landlord, and an absolutely GORGEOUS older couple who’ve been in their house, which doubles as a nursery, for 30 some years. They let us use their side garden plot and their hose free. Magic. The place has two off-alley parking spots, one in a garage, the other on a pad. We share a furnished patio and yard with the other tenant, but I’ve not seen him use it, so it’s essentially our own.

The space is split into the main upstairs living space, which includes the nominal bedroom, kitchen/dining, living room and shared bath; and a basement the full size of the upstairs apartment, which has the in unit laundry. I’m very open to splitting the space and re-imagining it according to the needs of the respective roommate, and can already see several configurations in ma brain, so let’s talk.

Can’t emphasize enough: this is a queer friendly space. Originally moved to MN to escape the political environment of MO. The past 3 years I’ve been with a queer woman, and the prior 3 I was with an AFAB Non - Binary person. I also grew up with divorced parents, four sisters, and mostly estrogen in my primary household so, honestly, at least as comfortable with femme/queer housemates as I am with male - if not more.

I am a transplant from Saint Louis. After finishing my degree in physics, took a leap and am now an apprentice union mason. I’m an avid runner, theater, and live music goer, kayaker, reader, occasional attendee of yoga classes at the studio about a block away, foodie, and then some. I have prided myself on decorating and creating the atmosphere of a warm, permanent home. I have champagne taste and a mean thrift, a sense of order and medicated ADHD. So in general, the place is calm, beautiful and neat, but sometimes echoes with quiet mentions of life in the kitchen sink, or on my bedroom floor. I’d be really happy to find someone content with privacy but sociable and easygoing, thrilled to find a like-minded cultural consumer to occasionally share a show, movie, or evening out with.
