Hello! We’re looking for a temporary guest for our bedroom from May 10 through July 15, while we’re out of the country. Please read carefully, most questions are answered below.

Since it has 10 windows, the room gets a lot of light all day. The kitchen, dining room, living room and two bathrooms are shared with our three floormates. Another apartment dweller is our cat Jack. The apartment itself is huge.

The building comprises 3 independent apartments but functions as a community. There’s a small garden out back that’s shared by all residents and where we sometimes have gatherings. There’s never an obligation to be social, however;)

We welcome all nationalities and identities. What matters is that you can be responsible, communicate well and live cooperatively! We rely on each other to keep shared areas of the house clear and clean.

Rent includes internet and all utilities. There is shared coin laundry in the building, plus a workshop and bike storage in the garage. We’ll ask for the first month payment in order to stop looking for someone.

7-minute walk to the beach on Sherwin. 5-minute walk from the Red Line stop Jarvis (where there are some nice cafés/restaurants). 7-min walk to the Howard stop, with access to the Red, Yellow and Purple lines.

We’ll reply as quickly as possible to all inquiries. If you’re interested, tell us a bit about yourself. Assuming our needs align, we’ll arrange a video meeting + tour, ask for a couple of references and then sign a simple contract and ask you to get insurance (usually around $15/mo).

There are three other roommates in the apartment, each one open and curious in his or her own way. We sometimes share meals or food, but with no obligation. You engage with others to the degree that feels comfortable to you.
