We are looking for a single person (no couples) to fill a room in our 4br/2ba house in Leeds (near Look Park) for June 1st, 2026. The house is a ten minute drive from Northampton, and 35min from Greenfield/Holyoke. The house is on the R42 bus line, though it can be harder to get to places like Amherst or Greenfield if you need to take a connection. We are also about a 5min walk from the bike path, and the Mill River.

The room we are looking to fill is a smaller room- able to fit a queen size bed and dresser- with a large walk in closet. The rest of the house is largely furnished but there will be space in the living room and additional storage in the basement.

Rent will be $500/month with an additional $100-$150 on average in utilities and house expenses. We pay for gas, electricity, internet, and trash/recycling. The landlord handles water & sometimes they plow in the winter but it is usually up to us.

Accessibility: Stairs: There are steps up to the front door off of the driveway, and the bedrooms are up a flight of about ten stairs on the second floor. One bathroom (full) is on the 2nd floor and there is another full bathroom in the basement. Scent: This is not a scent-free home although we do limit scents used in common spaces (candles, incense, etc). We also don’t use anything containing lavender as there is someone with an allergy.
420 friendly, no smoking indoors. Pets: There are two cats presently and the space cannot accommodate any more cats or dogs but we are open to other smaller pets that could live in a tank or cage. We are still COVID conscious and ask that people considering this application recognize that we are masking in the public areas of the house when ill (or unsure) and testing after large gatherings or potential exposure!

About the house: There is a neighbor we share the duplex and yard with, living in an in-law apartment attached to the house who has a completely separate entrance and living space. There is a backyard and outdoor space for gardening, with beds and fence which people are welcome to help with if interested. There’s a huge living room, large eat-in kitchen with beautiful bay windows and a dishwasher, basement for storage with both a washer and dryer, as well as a workbench. As of right now the current washer is broken, but because the landlords do not own the washer/dryer units, we are hoping to split fees with a future tenant for a new one.

The landlords require that anyone joining the household sign onto the lease via an addendum, which includes paying first month’s rent and security for move-in (Total of $1000). There is no subletting, but we can amend the lease to change the people on it.

About us: Nicole (32, She/her)- I’m originally from Ohio but came to the valley for school and have pretty much been here ever since. I’m currently working at an alternative preschool and kindergarten program for autistic kids and pursuing my Masters in ABA. In my (oh so limited) free time I like to watch anime and play video games. I have two cats: Egg (9) a very social tuxedo boy, and Melon (4) a very sweet but shy black soot sprite.

Elliot (30, they/he) - Hello! I’ve grown up in the Northampton/Easthampton area most of my life, I went to a Culinary Arts School in Austin, TX and I am currently a warehouse manager in Easthampton. In my free time I like to experiment with new dishes in the kitchen. I also play a lot of games (both video and tabletop) and attempt to have a green thumb during the warmer months.

Castea (23; They/Them) - Hiya! I was born and raised in Warren Massachusetts and moved up here a couple years ago! I recently graduated with my Bachelor’s in Microbiology from UMass and currently work as a Teacher’s Assistant for a nonprofit preschool. My free time is usually spent crocheting, beading, sewing, and basically anything crafty. I love experimenting with makeup and have recently started drag.
