Private room for rent. Move in available ASAP with the lease ending in May 2026. $50 application fee and security deposit equal to first month’s rent required.

The house is very accessible, right off of 295 and located near both Anacostia and Congress Heights metro stations and multiple bus stops. Street parking is also available. The house has a front and backyard, with multiple fruit trees on the property. There’s also a deck and a shed in the backyard. The house gets great amounts of natural sunlight. Washer and dryer units are in the basement of the house.

The room for rent is a private room complete with its own bathroom, closet and ceiling fan. It is partially furnished but you’re more than welcome to bring in your own furnishings.

We are Dimitrius (they/he), a 27 y/o Black, queer artist and educator and Nina (they/she), a 33 y/o Black, queer artist and massage therapist. We are seeking a third housemate to fill the vacant room in this 4 bedroom 2.5 bath single family home. Rent is $900 each or a total of $2700 + utilities split evenly amongst 3 roommates. Utilities range between $80-$250 during a given month.

We both value community, so we are looking for someone who does as well. If you are also queer or at least queer-friendly even better. We are sociable people and like having friends over for a party from time to time. We’re both artists/musicians so we’re looking for someone who doesn’t mind some noise, but we do have scheduled quiet hours out of respect for everyone in the house.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, respectful, communicative and values mature conflict resolution, cleanliness and keeping common spaces clean.
