Due to severe allergies I can ONLY live with non-smokers / vapers. Even if it’s off property. This is a hard no for me. Even 2nd/3rd hand exposure can cause health issues. (I don’t know how to be more clear about this. If you use either I can’t live with you without a potential hospital visit, and that’s the best case scenario. So if you smoke or vape please don’t waste either of our time by reaching out about the room.)

Room available is the primary bedroom with private bathroom. It’s a 2/2 apartment near LRU/Salt block. I’ve furnished all the common areas, but the room itself is unfurnished. Lots of closet space, ceiling fan, central air/heat, carpet. Pretty basic apartment. I have a washer and dryer you can use and there’s extra closet space for storage if you need it. Rent + bills (internet and power) split 50/50 averages out to around $790 per person. Move in costs are 1st months rent, 1st/last months bills and a non-refundable “deposit”.

Single occupancy only, so no couples/kids. (Kids can visit, but my dog hasn’t been around very small children much and is active, so I just worry about him being too much for them.) Women only. Current lease ends this fall.

About me: I’m super left leaning, in my 40’s, LGBTQ+, not religious, don’t drink/do drugs (not because I necessarily have issues with any of that, my body just won’t let me!) I love art, vintage stuff, yoga, dogs, and women’s soccer.

I have a dog, a senior mutt who is about 30 pounds. He loves everyone, and assumes everyone loves him back, so if you don’t really like dogs living with us won’t be for you. Otherwise he’s a velcro dog, so almost always with me, and I don’t expect a roommate to watch him. Other dogs are a no, ONE cat is workable, but I’d prefer someone with no other pets even if just because I don’t know how my dog will react and I don’t want to risk anything happening.

I work from home and make my own schedule and my days are usually a little backwards, where i do whatever random stuff earlier in the day and then work later, so I’m usually out of the way in my room in the late afternoons/evenings.

I basically don’t expect my roommates to become best friends, but wouldn’t mind us at least being friendly.
