Belknap Street
About the room
The best things about this apartment are its location and its great price. It’s a safe and pleasant 15 minute walk from Davis Square, and right next to multiple bus lines, a grocery store, and a number of great restaurants. Despite all this, our street is & apartment building are really quiet! The rent is extremely competitive for the area and has been for several years. In terms of the actual apartment, I especially love our kitchen, which is surprisingly large, and our two porches, one of which was redone just last year. (This apt is on the 2nd floor.)
***3 rooms available from $800-$845. *** Depends on the size of room you get & what final split is agreed upon. Right now one room could be around $800-$805. Another around $815 and another $840-$845. But again depends on how it is decided to split since I will no longer be living here - will have to discuss with my current roommate. -
In terms of extra costs on top of rent, we pay for internet, electricity, and gas. This comes out to around $60-$90 each in the summer months and up to $200 for a few months in the winter. We split household supplies which average about $15-$20/month. Coin operated laundry in basement. Unfortunately not really able to use basement for storage.
You can also pay $100/month for a parking spot in the driveway. Let me know if you want to learn more about how parking works in Somerville.
Lease is from August 1st 2026-July 31st 2027. (can move in later but would still have to pay for August.) Subletting not guaranteed. Landlord prefers to have lease signed sometime in April.
No smokers. No pets.
