About the roomies
We are a quiet, and friendly family. Have a little yorkie. Retirement is often envisioned as a quiet chapter—one filled with slow mornings, ticking clocks, and the gentle rustle of the daily newspaper. But for Kishore and Shakira, retirement didn’t arrive with a sigh of relief; it arrived with a six-pound, tan-and-blond exclamation point named Akira, our daughter’s dog.
Akira is a Yorkshire Terrier with the stature of a teacup and the ego of a Siberian Husky. When Kishore retired from thirty-five years of corporate life, and Shakira closed the door on her legal career, they bought this a charming craftsman bungalow in a gated community, imagining a peaceful sanctuary. Instead, they became full-time staff to a tiny, furry dictator.
