We have an unfurnished room available in our clean, quiet, and well-maintained house in Ivy Ridge, New Castle, DE. Ivy Ridge is a beautiful, safe development that offers a serene environment to come home to. Our location is super convenient – just minutes from Wilmington Airport and a 30–45-minute drive to Philadelphia, perfect for commuters or frequent travelers. It’s an ideal setup for a mature professional who values a relaxed, drama-free living space. Room & Home Features • Private Bedroom (Unfurnished) with Shared Bathroom: You’ll have your own comfortable bedroom and will share a bathroom. The home is kept clean and tidy at all times. • Full House Access: Enjoy full use of the kitchen, dining room, and living room; large backyard w/ grill – great for cooking meals or unwinding in front of the TV. • Laundry On-Site: No need to haul clothes to a laundromat – we have a washer and dryer in the house for your convenience. • Parking: We have a shared driveway for off-street parking, so your car will have a spot. • Peaceful Environment: This is a quiet, respectful household. We take pride in keeping the home peaceful and well-maintained, so you can relax after a long day. Rent & Utilities • Rent: $850 per month for the room (unfurnished). • Security Deposit: $850 (refundable) – one month’s rent, required at move-in. ($1700.00) • Utilities: The owner covers the first $100 of utilities each month! The remaining utility costs are split evenly between owner & roommates. This includes electric/gas (Delmarva Power), water (Artesian), cable/WiFi, and trash (Evergreen). (On average, utilities are very reasonable when split.) No surprise fees – just the rent and shared utilities as described above. We want to keep things fair and straightforward. House Rules & Ideal Roommate We’re a pretty laid-back and friendly household, but we do have some ground rules and preferences to keep our home enjoyable for everyone: • Mature, Employed Professional: Ideal for a fully employed adult with a stable job. (Proof of income will be required.) We’re looking for someone responsible who treats this like their home, not a crash pad. • Clean & Respectful: You clean up after yourself and respect common areas. We all pitch in to keep the house neat, so it stays a pleasant place to live. • Non-Smoker / Non-Vaper: No smoking or vaping inside or outside the property, and absolutely no illegal drugs. (We maintain a healthy, safe environment.) • No Pets: Sorry, no pets are allowed. Owner has a hypoallergenic service dog. This helps us keep the home quiet, allergy-free, and clean. • Background Check: A criminal background check and eviction history will be required. (Applicant pays the screening/application fee.) This is to ensure a safe home for everyone. • Security Deposit: One-month rent security deposit ($850) is required to move in. This is refundable when you move out, provided the room/house is left in good condition and rent/utilities are paid up. • Direct Renter Only: You must be the person renting the room.
