About the room
We have an opening in our shared house. We like to have an open community that combines enough personal space with opportunities to socialize. We occasionally cook together, play board games or watch movies. Otherwise, we are all relatively busy with work and other obligations. The house is ideal for to balance community and private life: It has four bedrooms (3 upstairs, 1 downstairs) and two living rooms, a kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, a basement with a washer and a nice front- and backyard to hang out or for barbecues.
The house is in the Wallace Triangle neighborhood, just a few houses down from the Haan Museum of Indiana Art and its Sculpture Garden. Itβs just over 2 miles from Purdue campus. The is a (new) bus line, 34, with a stop almost next to the house. It only takes 15 minutes by bike to campus (I ride every day). Downtown is a 10-minute walk away. All of us commute to campus by car or bus, others ride their bikes year around.
We are specifically interested in more mature/slightly older housemates, such as working professionals, postdocs and young faculty.
If you are interested or have any questions, please do reach out. Please mention if you have lived in a shared house before and why you would like to do so now.
The room could be available as early as June 1, or any time thereafter.
About the roomies
Currently we are all associated with Purdue University in some form or other, see above. This is not a requirement for the new housemate, we are open to all.
