We live in a 3 bedroom home on 7 ½ acres out in Kingsley. The house is at the end of a private road. We are 30 minutes from Traverse City and Cadillac, 10 minutes from Fife Lake.

This is more of a private rental space than a roommate situation- the only shared space within the house is the mudroom entrance, and you will have room there for your coats and shoes, etc. It has a key coded door lock- we do maintain the fingerprint access as the homeowners, but no one else has access. This is 100% your own space. It is private, secure, and basically a studio sized suite. You have your own living room area, tv, etc…. and an amazing, ensuite bathroom! There is an eating area and “kitchenette” - it has a counter / cabinet, microwave, mini-fridge, dishes, etc. It does NOT have a full kitchen. (no sink or oven in that area.) There also is not an actual closet- there is a space where a rod can be hung or a wardrobe or long dresser- that type of thing.

The room was recently renovated, and most things in there are new- brand new mattress, new loveseat with pull-out twin bed (new mattress), newly renovated shower.

It is very quiet- you might hear the washer and dryer going, or the basement steps occasionally.

The skies are beautiful at night and we have gorgeous sunsets from that room.

We have cats and an indoor rabbit- one of the cats is indoor / outdoor. He is very friendly! The cats have not been in the rental room since it was redone.

The washer and dryer are not available for use.

Rent includes all utilities.
Short term rental (1-3 months for now) with the option for longer if it’s a good fit for everyone! REQUIREMENTS: background check, proof of steady employment (6 months), 3 references. No pets, no smoking on the premises. *We prefer a single person in the rental.

We have been married for a bit over 6 years. We are in our late 40’s and early 50’s. We work day shift now, and I work from home. We have a teenage son who is here most of the time, and our adult daughter and her kids visit on the weekends.

Spending time with our family is our favorite thing to do! We also enjoy weekend projects or other things on our little “farm.” We love music, and Ed loves movies and TV. (We are both somewhat introverted people.)
