Rooms are in a large home located in 12 points within walking of all the new stores that have opened up and restaurants. The home is 125 years old and has a lot of the original built-ins and wood work with wood beams in the ceilings of LR and DR. A nice front wraparound porch. That’s perfect to sit outside when it’s nice. The front entrance is shared with another tenant who rents the efficiency apt. But the house itself has 3 large bedrooms and one shared bath. Large eat in kitchen where everyone has their own cabinet for food storage. I supply all the cookware dishes etc. This room is on the first floor my room and another tenant are on the second floor. The room is good size accommodates a queen bed with lots of room for the dressers and nightstand. It does not currently have a bed as last tenant had brought their own and I got rid of mine. It does have a dresser and nightstand. It has original hardwood floors 12’ ceilings and the original 9’ 6panel hardwood doors. The closet is very big with shelves and high ceilings so lots of storage space. The home has some nice features but it is very old so there is usually something that needs fixing or taken care of so I stay very busy especially in the summer between yard work, my flower beds, garden and repairs. I also split my time between Terre Haute and Lebanon IN where my husband is currently working. I do have a garage but the backyard and garage are my personal space as I also have a 32’ travel trailer out back. My get away spot so I ask that tenants not use the backyard or the garage. There is on site laundry. Last year I turned my back porch into a laundry room so I no longer had to go downstairs. I’m very picky about cleanliness and expect my home to be treated with respect by cleaning up after yourself and keeping your room clean. Once house is filled back up a rotating schedule to clean bathroom and vacuum will probably be done since I can’t be there constantly to keep up on everything myself. If you have violent or sexual crimes convictions you will not be considered as this is a shared living situation and I need to ensure everyone’s safety to the best of my ability.

The apt is rented to super nice guy not gonna guess age but believe he is close to my age so also retired. Then one of the bedrooms upstairs is rented out to a young man that works nights and he too is very quiet. Spends most of his time in his room. He’s a gamer. The other bedroom upstairs is my room although I will be getting that ready to rent out soon also. The room that I have for rent is on the main floor next to the bathroom, which we all share with the exception of the apartment. He has his own bathroom. Everything is included with the rent, including Internet. It’s a quiet home. Everybody’s friendly but we mind our own business and it would be perfect for someone that’s retired or a grad student needing a quiet place to study. This a drug free home and if you drink do so responsibly. All potential tenants must have references viable income and a $300 deposit and first rent. Rent can be paid by the week or by the month. Monthly rent is $600weekly is $150 every week. I’ve had to raise the rent from last year due to the outrageous increase in utilities this past year. On average my utilities increased 25% across the board. That’s absolutely corporate greed!!! There is a $20 monthly charge separate from rent it covers toilet paper, paper towels , dish soap and garbage bags so we can all share these items. I’ve had great luck this past year with wonderful people who all get along and are good people. I hate to see them go but the room will be available on the 29th.
