This is a very comfortable furnished home, with a large gourmet kitchen/family room, with a fireplace. There’s also another living room and dining room. We have a full utility room, with a washer and dryer. The house is in a family neighborhood, conveniently located a couple of miles from downtown Santa Rosa, and just over five miles to Santa Rosa Junior College and Downtown Sebastopol. There are two decks, and an outside porch, with furniture. So, great hang out places in the Spring and Summer. The room is a lovely comfortable room, with built in shelves in a large closet. The room has lots of light, especially when it’s sunny. You would be sharing a bathroom with my roommate, who keeps it very clean, and there’s a half bath downstairs. We would prefer a sober living and chemical-free environment. :-) We are both friendly, and respectful of people’s personal spaces. So, we take our phone calls in our own bedrooms, rather than in the communal spaces. I enjoy yoga, dance classes and reading a lot. I also work from home, as a writer, teaching writing classes online, so I have to work in a quiet environment. My roommate works full-time, and when he’s home is mainly in his room, reading and taking care of personal business. My background, before I became a teacher, was in the music industry; I travelled the world performing in a band. Overall, we are mellow, easy to get along with, roommates. So, we are looking for a third roommate who is similar in personalities to us, which means a quiet & respectful personality, with mature communication, and someone who likes to be clean and tidy. I am originally from London, U.K., I am a writer and teach writing classes on Zoom. I also substitute teach in the Sonoma public school system. Also, I am a Welcoming Schools Facilitator, trained by the Human Rights Campaign, through SCOE. I train educators, and staff, in Sonoma County schools, on making schools LGTBQI+ friendly and inclusive. I usually retire to my room, I have my own bathroom, around 6pm in the winter, later in the summer. I get up around 4/5am, make tea and go back to my room for a couple of hours. My great roommate is in his 60s, and works in hospitality, often in the evenings, but is very quiet when he comes in. He is also looking for other employment with day work hours. We are both chilled and respectful of each other’s space; we don’t do phone calls, or watch TV’s in common areas etc. A cat and small non-barking dog live in the house. SO, it’s a MUST that you are an animal lover. Also, my cat is very territorial, so we can’t have another cat. But, a small, or medium, chilled dog, is a possibility.
