Hello, thanks for your interest. This is a post for 1 room for 1 person - no couples/shared room. Looking for second housemate. There is a full bath (shared if there is an occasional out of town visitor) in the upstairs hallway, full bath in the master bedroom (master bedroom use only) and shared half bath on the first floor.

Rent is $650 and includes housecleaning service (common spaces) and utilities. Lower rent is negotiable if you are a long distance commuter and will be gone on the weekends.

The second floor bedroom is available on May 1 (negotiable). It is 13 x 13 ft and has hardwood flooring, a large closet and two (installed 2018) windows. The room has periwinkle painted walls and is large enough for a queen. The room can be provided as a lightly furnished room at no extra cost. Looking for a lease 2 months or longer.

There is street parking in a quiet residential neighborhood (parking availability is not an issue). Fios internet available. Living room has Amazon Prime and Netflix. The kitchen is a cook’s dream (remodeled in 2014). A new geothermal heating/AC system was put in 2015. There are 2 friendly dogs (20 lbs and 30 lbs). If you have hobbies, there is room in the garage and basement for your gear. There is a sunny fenced-in backyard if you want to grow vegetables. There is a 7 year old washer/dryer. The house has all hardwood flooring.

This house is 2 miles from the WMATA commuter lot (free parking) and the P18 go to downtown Monday-Friday on a commuter schedule. This home has a seasonal water view and is walking distance to Fort Washington National Park. There is not a metro station nearby (Branch Ave and Huntington are the 2 closest with parking lots).

Close to National Harbor, Old Town, downtown, Indian Head Base, Andrews AFB, and JBAB.

Basic background check is required. This is a no smoking and no drugs home.
