A room will be available July 1st in a clean, stable shared home. Rooms here go quickly and turnover is very low, most current tenants have been here for years and describe it as a solid living situation.

This is a shared household, so there is a bit more screening than a typical rental to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. The goal is to maintain a respectful, responsible living environment where everyone contributes to keeping common areas reasonably clean and is mindful of others.

House guidelines are in place based on real experience with shared living and are designed to keep things running smoothly. People with prior room-share experience have consistently said this has been one of the better setups they’ve lived in.

Very affordable compared to renting an apartment in the area. Ideal for someone looking for a stable, low-cost, and respectful shared living environment.

About the Room:

• Large room that can fit a King/Queen sized bed.
• Bright, private ground-level room with great natural light from two large windows. Shares no walls with another bedroom.

About the Townhouse:

• 3-level home with open floor plan and furnished common areas (living room, TV, dining area)

• Full kitchen access with cabinet and fridge space
• 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in the house.

• Located on the Fairfax/Reston border (zip 20151, eastern Chantilly).
• Close to Route 50, 66, and Fair Oaks Mall (3 miles).
• Plenty of new restaurants, breweries, gyms, and shops within 10 minutes.

Current Housemates:

• Four tenants (20s–30s), everyone gets along well and values communication, cleanliness, and quiet living. Courteous and respectful.

House Rules and Terms:

• No pets, no smoking, no drugs, no parties
• Single occupancy only
• 1-year lease with security deposit (equal to one month’s rent)
• Background and credit check required ($49 fee) for everyone’s peace of mind

The roommates here are all from craigslist, and did not know each other beforehand, so you would not be the outsider. There are four respectful males living in the space currently. Females are also welcome to rent. The house culture is to respect each other, communicate, be conscious of living in a shared space, and work together to keep a reasonably clean home. We are looking for those who are responsible, drug-free, will not have guests over often, and won’t throw parties at the house. A background check is required but I run that on a separate platform from roomies, which costs $49 to the prospective renter.
