I live in a 4 BR, 2.5 BA house on the west end of Oak Ridge. There is a guest bedroom on the lower level (the house is the familiar basement rancher style popular in our area) that is furnished with dressers and a full bed. The room has two walk-in closets and wall-to-wall off-white, light tan carpeting throughout. A full bathroom with bathtub is located a few steps down the hall. The downstairs is typically 5 degrees cooler than the upstairs. The rent is $650 + 1/2 electricity & water = > $750. There is a recreation room with Roku TV and laundry room downstairs. Upstairs has a living room with similar large TV and a Roku box. The TVs can be remotely controlled by a laptop. Off-white wall-to-wall carpeting upstairs and downstairs, so you will be asked to keep your shoes by the door before walking on the carpeting.

I am the only resident in the house: Caucasian male, 58, Ph.D. health outcomes researcher, Vegan, nonsmoker, adjunct professor. I typically wake up, go to the fitness center to swim laps and/or lift weights + cardio machines. Then I return home and work remotely from my home office (downstairs over six warm months, upstairs over six cold months). Imagine having a roommate who brings a little bit of everything to the table! I like to think I’m a mix of reliability, a laid-back vibe, and just enough adventure to keep things interesting. I’m all about thoughtful and fun experiences – whether that means trying new foods, planning a spontaneous outing, or just relaxing with a movie at the end of a long day. I’m looking for someone who is super responsible and respectful of noise and personal space. But I also know how to make any space feel more like home and keep life a little lighter. Living with me, you’ll get someone who’s dedicated, supportive, and always down for a good laugh :)
