Room for Rent – South Salem – $900 (All Utilities Included)

I’m renting out a room in my 1,900 sq ft home located in a quiet, established South Salem neighborhood near Sunnyslope Roth’s. The house sits on almost a quarter acre with a large, peaceful backyard and plenty of space to relax.

About the space:

• $900/month (includes all utilities: electric, water, garbage, and internet)
• Unfurnished room with a mounted TV
• Shared access to all common areas (kitchen, living room, laundry, etc.)
• You’re welcome to use household items such as dishware, kitchen appliances, electronics, and cleaning tools
• Driveway parking space included
• Home gym in the garage with treadmill, stationary bike, elliptical, and weights
• The property is professionally landscaped weekly.

About the household: I live here with my three dogs. They absolutely love people, but one of them (a golden retriever) is reactive to other dogs. Because of that, no additional pets are allowed — this is non-negotiable. Please do not ask.

There is also one person who stays here about 8 nights per month (every other weekend). He works for the State of Oregon and is only here short-term for work. During that time, the bathroom is shared, but he doesn’t leave anything behind, so it generally feels like your own.

House rules:

• No drugs, smoking, or 420
• No overnight guests, no couples, and no kids (no exceptions)
• Alcohol is fine in moderation, but this is not a party house

I’m open to a month-to-month lease but would prefer someone looking to stay 6+ months.

About me: I’m a 31-year-old female working in healthcare administration. I value a clean, quiet, and respectful home environment and am looking for a like-minded renter — ideally a working professional or graduate student.

I’m very big into exercise and go to the gym five days a week. I really enjoy running and do many races throughout the year. I’m pretty quiet and tend to keep to myself. I like to read, spend time with my dogs, and travel when I can. For fun, I enjoy going to concerts and Timbers games in Portland.
