I have a furnished room available in my single family home for rent. The house is a brand new build (2023) and is located on a lovely street in Gentilly in close proximity to Dillard University and UNO. I am also conveniently located to several hospitals in the area 5-15 minute drive. The home has a wonderful reading room, wellness room (for yoga and exercising) and front and back porches for lounging.

The home is only occupied by me. I am in my 40s and am a working professional in the consulting and education field. I work from home so the ideal roommate will not work from home. Educators, non-profit professionals, airline, medical, travel nurses and other working professionals etc. would be my ideal match. The home is nonsmoking/no vaping and not pet friendly (allergies). I love children but am not able to accommodate them. I’m a perfect spot for travel nurses and others on short term temporary assignments. The guest room does not have an en suite bathroom but utilizes the hall bath.

I’m quiet, very clean and organized and keep my home peaceful and Zen. My hope is that in the future I will turn it into a retreat space for writers and visiting educators. In the short term, I am looking for one roommate (no couples) who is responsible, a joy to be around and someone with purpose and passion for their life to compliment the living environment. I love volunteering, biking, hiking, reading, theatre, concerts, and movies.
