Broadway Street

I am subleasing my bed in a two bedroom, one bathroom apartment in Venice, California. The apartment was newly renovated just 6 months ago before my roommates and I moved in. There are two bedrooms and two beds/people in each room. They are all female and students attending SMC, as well as have part time jobs. We met on Roomies in August of 2018 and found this apartment together, signing a year lease on the place. They are all lovely girls, very kind and easy to get along and live with. We make sure to keep communication open between us so that if any minor issues (cleaning or bathroom usage, as an example) come up, everyone feels comfortable addressing it. The apartment itself is very comfortable, with a common space up front as you walk in, which leads into the kitchen. There are two couches in the common space, as well as a flat screen. We don’t pay for cable but we do have an Amazon Firestick from which we have access to Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube, among others. The kitchen is very nice and spacious with lots of cupboard space, a refrigerator/freezer, an oven, microwave, gas stove, and sink, all of which are fully functional. The bathroom is also fully functional with all necessary amenities (shower, toilet, sink, etc.). The apartment comes with a private patio which also has chairs and a table. The building has four apartments and all of our neighbors are really cool and trustworthy, we get along and have never had an issue with any of them. And the building is gated with a separate key just for it, as well as being very high and covered, so we have complete privacy and it is very safe. There is a washer and dryer on site but is not free, you must use quarters for each cycle, and the entire building shares it. That being said, it has worked fine for us so far and we haven’t had any issues. The neighborhood is nice, a ten minute walk to Ralph’s, Rite Aid, and Ross, 15 minutes to Whole Foods. And in the opposite direction we are just a few blocks from the heart/main stretch of Abbot Kinney Blvd, as well as Rose Ave in the other direction. There is no shortage of nice restaurants and things to do nearby (also very close to Venice Beach) and bus stops to nearly anywhere are all well within walking distance so commute is fairly easy whichever direction you are travelling. All in all, it is a wonderful apartment that I have been delighted to call home for the past several months and will very much be happy to be returning to when I am able. I will be away for a two months and would like for someone to be able to move in immediately. This would be ideal for SMC or UCLA students or anyone who is just going to be staying in LA/Santa Monica for a short time or someone who is in a rush to find somewhere to stay and needs an interim while they find a more permanent solution. This will be temporary, I will be coming back. All of us in the apartment are college age, the youngest being 19 and the oldest 23, so someone around that age range would be preferred as you will be sharing personal spaces with them.
