It makes no sense for you to bid lower than the listings shown by the owners here. Because then your name just stays on the list forever with no result. Owners have costs. My costs to me for each of my rooms breaking even without a profit is $1,150 per month which includes utilities. Besides paying your fair share I am also looking for: Non-smokers only. Also no vaping & e-cigs & Maryjane. There are 3 cops living on our street. Our neighborhood is crime free & dope free. You’ll need to do dope in your car away from the property if you are Maryjane friendly. If you are LGBTQRSetc then note we here are a family community of mostly young married couples having kids, middle aged parents raising theirs, and empty-nest older couples & older singles. There is no Hershey bar road. Note also you must have a job and a car to live here because of the spread out community’s isolation . It is beautiful but the homes are not cheap nor run down. Your net pay per month must be 3 times the rent per month. Bring a copy of your paycheck stub if you come to look at the room. You need a car that doesn’t leak oil: our neighborhood is isolated from public transit & shopping. So you’ll need to drive. Commute time to SL City is about 25 mins to the downtown 600 South exit. No felony criminal record: the FBI has studied criminal recidivism & determined it is inevitable. No couples: all my beds are oversized day beds not queen sized. No kids unless you plan to rent the entire downstairs (both rooms) for which I’ll give you a special rate of $1,500 per month total for you & your kid. The kid needs its own bed.
I am a single hetero-only senior & would like the 2 house-mates to be mainstream single individuals as well, out of school & working full time with their own car. There will be 3 of us sharing the house. The 2 downstairs will share a large bathroom with tub & shower & curtains & toilet & sink & mirror. I prefer long term indefinite renters. I am not a B&B. However 12 mos minimum is ok. There is 1 space on the street in front of the house for parking & also the north half of the driveway is another spot especially for EV’s as long as your EV doesn’t leak oil. I haven’t yet coated the driveway with cement-paint. The garage has an EV outlet but you’ll need to bring your own charger & cord totalling 25 ft to reach the driveway from the wall if you drive an EV. Then I’ll need to estimate & add-on your recharging costs to the monthly rent. I have past year bills so this is easy to calculate. The house is a split-level cottage sized 3 bedroom 2 bath 1450 sq. ft. cozy separate residence. The rent is computed by cost sharing & square footage allocation. Critical utilities are built into the rental price. We don’t have cable TV: but we have pretty good antenna TV: each room has its own TV set & you can get most major broadcast channels. All housemates will have access to the main floor kitchen & dining room & 2 fridges & a desk by the stairway. There is no living room. The backyard is ok for suntanning & a cat to exercise & play. No dogs please: dogs tear up a house & yard so leave your dog at your parents’ house. In the past, I have had good house-mates & bad house-mates. The good are friendly & do their fair share. The bad are nasty & make a mess & are a fire hazard with all their piled up junk. There is plenty of room in the cellar for storage. I’m looking for more good house-mates not bad ones.
