About the room
This home is located in the Marrero/Westbank area, close to everyday conveniences while still having a quieter residential feel. It’s a great spot for someone who wants to be near everything without being directly in the middle of New Orleans.
The property is my childhood home, and I’m currently rebuilding and restoring it into a comfortable, peaceful place to live. It’s an older home with history, character, and a lot of personal meaning. Some areas are still a work in progress, but I’m putting real care into bringing the house back to life and making it feel clean, welcoming, and homey.
The location is one of the biggest perks. You’re close to grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, shopping, and main roads through Marrero, Harvey, Gretna, and the Westbank. New Orleans is also an easy drive away — Marrero is roughly 9–10 miles from New Orleans, depending on where you’re headed, so you get quick access to the city without having to live directly in it.
This would be a good fit for someone who appreciates a real home with character, respects shared spaces, and understands that the property is being improved over time. I’m looking for someone responsible, clean, low-drama, and respectful of the house while I continue rebuilding it.
About the roomies
The home is shared by me, my boyfriend Trevor, and our German Shepherd, Arlo. We’re a quiet, easygoing household and we like to keep things peaceful, clean, and respectful. We’re not looking for chaos, drama, or a party-house situation — just someone dependable who can treat the home and shared spaces with care.
This is my childhood home, and I’m currently rebuilding and restoring it, so the right roommate would be someone who can appreciate a home with history and be respectful while improvements continue. Arlo is also part of the home, so being comfortable around a German Shepherd is important.
