About the room

Short term (1or 2 mos.) welcome! Dubbed The Tree House, this is like a private apartment space. It is a great, huge space, perfect for University of Miami grad students, medical rotation students, medical residents, university grad students, or other quiet guests. It’s a fully-furnished, upstairs bedroom suite, accessed by a spiral staircase, and it is the only room upstairs - so there is total privacy. It is almost 475 square feet with its own private bathroom, walk-in closet, and sitting area, so it is quite large. There is a mini fridge. Linens & towels are provided. Wi-fi (1 gig) & all other utilities included. The room is spacious, sunny, & airy. Venetian blinds allow control of natural light in room. The bed is a double, & has a comfy BeautyRest mattress. You may use the kitchen and share the kitchen ‘fridge, and use the washer and dryer. The neighborhood is quiet. The house itself is on 1.3 acres of land with lots of vegetation, so there’s kind of a country-in-the-city feel. The house is a 1950s ranch-style, so if you need new and modern, this isn’t the place for you; but if you want a peaceful setting and a casual, country-like environment, this fits the bill. There is plenty of parking in the driveway on the property. It’s 1.5 miles from Larkin Hospital. The UM campus is less than 1 mile away. Nicklaus Children’s and other hospitals are nearby. Numerous stores, shops, restaurants, etc. are nearby. The Metrorail system also is nearby. I am quiet, & live downstairs. There also are quiet medical & grad students living downstairs.
