About the room

This is a wonderful room right around the corner from Union Square Park and the N/R/Q/W/4/5/6/L trains! Our building staff is amazing with friendly doormen keeping it safe around the clock. It also includes a pool, sauna, hot tub, and gym for no additional cost. There’s a rooftop area overlooking the park as well. There’s a laundry room one floor below the apartment that is paid ($2.25 to wash and $2.00 to dry) with a special card you have to load cash into. The building has elevators and is completely accessible. The apartment is a great escape for students who need a place to recharge after working and going to school all day. We share a bathroom, living room, and kitchen. I don’t really cook–the most used item in that kitchen is the microwave but we have a gas stove and oven if you happen to be a master chef. Heads up about the room–there isn’t a window, hence, your room is $2,000 while mine is $2,200. Our building doesn’t seem to have a problem with this in terms of fire safety. The paperwork will seem intense due to our landlord being pretty specific, but after it’s all settled, she leaves us alone and I haven’t had any problems. I love this apartment and would love to see if we’d be a good fit together! Please reach out to my email if you have any questions or are interested!

About the roomies

Hi! I’m Rachel. I am about to start my third year in a dual graduate program at New York University, I’ll be writing my thesis and graduating in the spring of 2025. When not doing research on fashion and textile history I’m always crafting something–knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, etc. I’m a very quiet person who needs lots of time to recharge but I’m also very personable and prone to deep conversations punctuated by humor. I love art, museums, history, and reading. I rarely have people over and will always inform you when I do in advance with the expectation you do the same. I’m clean in public spaces, but I’ll admit my room is a bit messy. You might find a random strand of yarn or two on the floor but I don’t leave out huge messes that will dictate where you have to sit in the living room. I’d absolutely love to find someone to share this beautiful apartment with! It’s such a wonderful location with great amenities so please feel free to reach out, I’m eager to see if we’d be a good fit together.
